Retirement Assessment

Start your retirement with certainty

  • Are you wondering exactly when you can retire without running out of money?

  • Unsure how much income you’ll have and where it will come from?

  • Concerned about taxes, Social Security timing, and healthcare costs?

You’re not alone; many people approaching retirement feel the same way.

Approaching retirement without a plan can leave you guessing at the most important financial decision of your life. One wrong move could mean paying more taxes than necessary, delaying retirement, or taking on more risk than you’re comfortable with.

A clear plan in just two meetings

Over the course of two focused meetings, we’ll analyze your full financial picture, including savings, investments, pensions, Social Security, and taxes, to give you a clear retirement plan and an actionable income strategy.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does the Retirement Assessment cost?

The Retirement Assessment is a limited engagement service and has a flat fee of $3000. There are no hidden charges and no pressure to commit to anything beyond the two meetings.
If, after the assessment, we both decide we’re a good fit for ongoing work, the standard $3000 engagement fee is waived for new clients who have completed a Retirement Assessment within the previous two months.

How long does the Retirement Assessment take?

The process includes two focused 90-minute meetings plus a short introductory call. Most people complete everything within 3-4 weeks, depending on how quickly documents are gathered.

Do I need to be located near you?

No. We currently meet with all clients virtually and work with clients anywhere in the US.

What do I need to bring or prepare for the meetings?

You do not need to bring anything to the intro meeting. Once we begin the Retirement Assessment, we will give you a list to guide you on what to bring - things like recent account statements, tax returns, etc.

What is the Retirement Assessment best for?

The Retirement Assessment is designed for people who are within 3-5 years of retirement, or recently retired, and want clarity on when they can retire and how to make their money last. If you have been saving diligently but still have questions about income, taxes, or Social Security, this process is built for you.

Will you try to sell me products or investments?

No. We don’t sell investment products or earn commission. Our only focus is giving you unbiased advice tailored to your situation.

What will I walk away with? How detailed is the plan?

What if I just want the assessment and not ongoing financial planning?

That’s perfectly fine. Some clients simply want a second opinion or confirmation that they’re on the right track. Our goal is for you to leave with confidence, whether or not you choose ongoing planning.

What happens after the assessment?

After the assessment, you’ll have a clear plan in hand, whether or not you decide to continue working with us. You will have 30-day access to our interactive planning software, so you can explore your plan and test “what if” scenarios, as well as access to us for follow up questions.
If we both agree it’s a good fit, you’ll have the option to move into ongoing planning and implementation. If not, you’ll still leave with a roadmap you can follow with confidence.
